Pat's Oktoberfest Tacos: An Untraditional Recipe
While traditional Oktoberfest fare like pretzels, bratwurst, and hot dogs with sauerkraut were enjoyed, the true culinary star of our celebration was the tacos. Yes, you read that right—tacos! My husband Pat introduced an unexpected yet delightful twist with his Oktoberfest Taco recipe. Here’s how you can recreate this delicious dish:
Pat's Oktoberfest Taco Recipe
Ingredients:
1 pound ground turkey
1 medium onion, finely chopped
Cavender's All Purpose Greek Seasoning (or your favorite salty spice)
Mini tortillas
Sliced pickles
Mustard
Instructions:
Cook the Turkey: In a skillet over medium heat, add the chopped onions and cook until they become translucent. Add the ground turkey and continue to cook until browned. Season generously with Cavender's All Purpose Greek Seasoning, or your preferred salty spice, to taste.
Prepare the Tortillas: Heat the mini tortillas on a pan or directly over the flame for a slight char, enhancing their flavor and texture.
Assemble the Tacos: Spoon the seasoned ground turkey mixture onto each tortilla. Top with slices of pickle and a drizzle of mustard for a tangy kick.
Serve and Enjoy: These tacos were a hit, offering a unique fusion of flavors that delighted our guests.
Our backyard Oktoberfest was a fantastic way to celebrate with family and friends, filled with laughter, music, and unforgettable memories.
