- Using scissors, neatly cut tissue paper into small pieces and place them over the windows and doors at the back of each paper building. Use tape to secure in place. Be sure to cover all the openings. This is now the back side of the building.
- Decorate for Halloween! Attach the colorful paper decorations to the front side of the building using glue. Use as much or as little decoration as you desire for your dazzling display.
- To assemble the buildings, start by folding the tabs on both sides in opposing directions. For instance, if you fold the left tab towards the front of the house, then fold the right tab towards the back. Continue with that pattern.
- After folding the tabs, join the buildings by taping the tabs together. Then, to make the village stand on its own, make a zigzag pattern by folding it in an accordion-style.
- Now place the paper village in front of any light source. You can use string lights, sunlight, or other Halloween decorations to help light your village.
