Step 1: Slice and Dice Your Batty Blueprint
Begin by cutting out the bat shapes and paper strips from the #TableSettingIsMyLife bat template. Alternatively, if you prefer a more colorful look, use the color-in version and color your bat or trace onto black construction paper to ensure your bat is black and opaque on both sides..
Step 2: Just Wing It
Add a dab of glue to the bottom of the clothespin, placing your strip of paper in the middle. Then fold the paper tabs against the clothes pin, nice and tight to create a crease.
Step 3: Bat-tle Grounds
With the clothespin open, apply glue along one side at the bottom and attach the paper strip securely. Repeat this process for the other side to ensure the strip is firmly in place.
Step 4: Bat Body Boogie
Gently fold both wings of the bat upwards. Apply glue along the bat's belly and attach to the top of the clothespin. Make sure the center of the wings aligns with the center of the paper strips for a balanced look.
Step 5: Tab-tastic Finishing Touches
Place a small amount of glue at the end of each paper strip, and attach them to the bat's wings. Your new little bat friend is now ready to take flight. Boo!
