From Etsy to Reality: DIY Decorations for Cassie's Housewarming and Engagement Party

When my dear friend Cassie reached out in a panic the Monday before her Saturday housewarming/engagement party, I knew I had my work cut out for me. The decorations she had ordered were not working, and with just five days to go, I had to step in and make some magic happen. Embracing her chosen color scheme of black and white, I embarked on a creative journey to put together decorations that fit the double theme of housewarming and engagement.

The Black and White Paper Garland

One of my favorite creations for the party was a black and white paper garland featuring adorable cutouts of houses, hearts, and engagement rings. This garland was a hit, and I'm excited to share that it's now available on my Etsy shop. 

Disney-Inspired WDW Banner

Cassie and I both share a love for Disney World, so I knew I had to incorporate a touch of magic into the decorations. I updated my existing WDW Banner by adding a Mr. and Mrs. wedding cake with a charming Mickey cake topper. This personalized touch was a delightful nod to our shared Disney enthusiasm, and it was a memorable addition to the party.

A Joint Celebration Banner

To streamline the decorations, I combined two of my instant download Etsy products: the housewarming banner and the engagement party banner. This joint banner seamlessly integrated both themes, and I'm thrilled to announce that the combined version is now available on Etsy. Paper Dress Brides

One of my long-standing craft favorites is creating paper dress mannequin brides. For Cassie's party, I made them in black and white, and they added a whimsical yet elegant touch to the decor. Mickey and Minnie Engagement Garland

No Disney-themed celebration would be complete without Mickey and Minnie! I crafted a charming engagement garland featuring the beloved duo, and it's now available on Etsy in a variety of color options. For Cassie's party, I chose a black pendant banner adorned with white hearts, engagement rings, and houses to complement the Mickey and Minnie garland.

Personalized Paper Banner

To add a truly special touch, I created a personalized paper banner featuring paper versions of Cassie and Ronnie. We hung this unique piece on the chalkboard in front of the bar and invited guests to sign with celebratory messages.
